INFRARED ANALYSIS: Now you can stop guessing about roof leaks. Infrared Analysis will accurately define where moisture exists in a roofing system. On sunny days, the radiant heat of the sun warms the roof surface. At sunset, the roof surface begins to cool. Because water retains heat, dry areas of the roof cool faster than wet areas. Infrared Analysis reads the difference in temperatures between the dry areas and wet areas. Our sophisticated equipment can read temperature differences as small as 1/20th of a degree Fahrenheit. In the photo above, the blue and purple areas have cooled off quickly because they are dry. The yellow and red areas have retained heat and are warm because of the moisture content. This information is vitally important whether one is re-roofing or repairing the existing roof.
